A 12-year-old Sarfaraz Khan broke a long-standing record in 2009 by scoring 439 runs in an interschool Harris Shield match.
Under the guidance of his father and coach, Naushad Khan. Sarfaraz was selected for the 2014 Indian U19 World Cup, because of his outstanding performance in the 2013 Under-19 quadrangular series, where he scored 101 with 66 balls. Also Sarfaraz amassed 355 runs in six games, the second-highest total ever, during the 2016 U19 World Cup in Bangladesh.
But throughout his career, Sarfaraz has faced a number of challenges. Disciplinary troubles increased during that period. Sarfaraz became the third batter to score 900 or more runs in consecutive seasons and was a run-machine in the Ranji Trophy.
After he achieved success through perseverance and hard work, Sarfaraz was chosen for India's Test team against England in Rajkot in February 2024. In October, he got his first Test century against New Zealand.
Sarfaraz's leg ailment kept him out of the 2017 campaign. To everyone's surprise, RCB retained him in 2018 with big name chris gayle, but he was released later due to abysmal performances.
The duality of every high and low in a cricket player's path is encapsulated in Sarfaraz Khan's story. Sarfaraz's narrative is really one of the art of talent and perseverance.
