Kyle Mayers is an extra ordinary medium-pace bowler and left-handed batsman from Barbados who was born on September 8, 1992. He has earned a name for himself as a vital member of the West Indies across all formats due to his strong stroke play and perfect seam bowling

Early career and rise to fame

Mayers began his cricket career at the youth level, playing for the West Indies U-19 team in the 2012 ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup. His domestic performances in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and first-class cricket granted him recognition as a promising all-round player, but it was in 2021 that he really made headlines. He played one of the best innings in West Indies' Test series against Bangladesh. In 2021 a record fourth-innings chase against Bangladesh, he scored an undefeated 210, one of the greatest innings in West Indies cricket history, during his Test debut. He became known as a player with great potential and a strong temperament.
