1.1987 World Cup Final: Australia won this World Cup by defeated England by 7 runs in the final at Eden Gardens Kolkata. In 50 overs Australia scored the total of 253/5 and England scored 246 losing 8 wickets in 50 overs.
2.1999 World Cup Final: Australia beat Pakistan by 8 wickets by not letting them score much in the first innings, all out for just 132 runs and Australia chased it in just 20.1 overs losing 2 wickets. This was first ICC permanent trophy.
3.2003 World Cup Final: They won against India by 125 runs while the legend Sachin was still match of the series. Australia gave the target of 359 runs and India could score only 234 runs losing all their wickets.
4.2007 World Cup Final: This final match was reduced to 38 overs and Sri Lanka lost it by just 53 runs to Australia, it was third consecutive title for Australia. Aus 281/4, Sri 218/8.
5.2015 World Cup Final: Triumphed over New Zealand by 7 wickets, they could only score 183 and Australia chased it in 33.1 overs while losing just 3 wickets.
6.2023 World Cup Final: Beat India by 6 wickets in Ahmedabad by chasing the target of 240 in 43 overs.
The winning percentage of 47.39% overall in test format makes the Australian cricket team the most successful in the history of cricket. Australia had played 844 Test matches and won 400, lost 227, drew 215, and 2 matches were a tie, till the 22nd of July 2022. As for the ODI they are also the most successful because no one has ever won 6 world cups but Australia.
From the first World Cup 1975 till the 13th one which was 2023, the most successful team has always been Australia by winning 6 of these World Cups. India and West Indies both have won the World Cup two times while Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka have won only once. Australia also won three consecutive 1999, 2003 and 2007 which no other team have achieved yet.
